We have finally arrived!
After two long days of travel we have finally made it to Manila, Philippines. On arriving our team was hungry, thirsty, tired and very sweaty! As soon as we stepped foot out of the airport we could feel the drastic change in humidity. The air is thick and it feels like we are constantly steamy and sticky, even after our showers. The people here are like the weather, they are very warm. Everyone seems to be smiling and very friendly and welcoming. Our base is nice and we are all coping with the warm weather and so far enjoying the food. We haven't tried balut yet! ;)
Today we are starting orientations and meeting with various ministry's we will be partnering with.
It will be a long and exciting day and we are all looking forward to jumping right into this new culture and routine, despite our tired, sweaty bodies.
PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR:
- Health, that we would continue to all feel well and no one would get sick from the new food or water
- That we would continue to hear God's voice and follow His leading when preparing lesson plans and devotions for the people here
